this has been going on since early yesterday and has basically been a side note on every single major media outlet in the us...this would usually be huge news...i guess after all that msm govt hype last week about how the war was winding down blew up in their face and now its damage control time...rofl...

Seems like the US is going to "win" this war the same way they "won" the Vietnam war.US casualties have fallen to about one dead a day in March compared with four a day in January and five a day in November. But this is the result of a switch in American strategy rather than a sign of a collapse in the insurgency. US military spokesmen make plain that America's military priority has changed from offensive operations to training Iraqi troops and police.

Heh, i made a bet with my dad last night about whether the Americans will have halved their forces in Iraq in exactly one year without civil war breaking out. I'm absolutely certain that won't be the case - he is. I'm pretty confident i'm going to win those two tickets for a concert thingie of choise.
