You are right, thank fuck all toy guns are marketed towards adults and that no video games that children play have any form of weapons.

Japan does not have a major problem with children drinking, because alcohol is not treated like some holy grail only to be experienced by adults - up until a year ago there were vending machines selling beer on the streets but I never saw kids hanging out in the park getting drunk in the same way that I would back in UK.

So did they remove the machines off the streets? If so www (who where and why) ? Was it a political decision or one of general public choice?

The alcohol and cigarette machines were only turned on until 10 pm or some shit because supposedly until that time there were enough responsible adults out to deter kids from getting beers and smokes - then they introduced an electronic age card and turned on the machines 24/7 - which is pretty much useless considering that the kids now just get a card from their older brothers/friends and have 24/7 access to beer and smokes.

I find kids in Japan weird, the mostly start smoking/drinking about the same time as they go to uni - they generally are not fucking until about the same age.
