Quake 3 not working on windows 2000 plz help

Everytime i try to open up Quake 3 it starts to open up and then stops and says there somthing wrong with open GL. Is it because i have windows 2000 or am i doing somthing wrong??? :icon23:

doubt it's b/c of that OS. What video card do you have? Latest drivers on that card?

If it's saying it can't load Open GL it's going to be a problem with your vid. card.

It cant be the video card because it worked on windows 98 before i changed it to windows 2000

you have to download your latest video drivers. xp/2000 use a different type of driver than windows 98.

the error is saying your card doesnt support windows 2000 opengl. fix: download new drivers.

depends. what video card do you have?

start > run > dxdiag > display tab

what does it say under "name" and "manufacturer"?

I wasn't saying your card was trash or broken, just the driver needs to updated.
