I don't think it's Collins, he has appeared in the show as himself before, although it could all be a cunning ruse.

The Stig is an amateur taxidermist, just saying.

'Top Gear presenter James May claimed that the Stig's identity has not been outed and there has been speculation that there may be more than one person to be the Stig'

it doesn't matter who the stig is, as long as its the same dude in the suit for every car on the board.

The cars would be 2secs a lap quicker if it was Hamilton :P

Hamilton's lap was slower than the Stig's.

Granted, he's got the track memorized, but still...

Hamiltons lap was in the wet with oil on the track and it was only a few ms out:

Stigs best is 1:44.4
Hamiltons lap was 1:44.7

0.3 seconds where as JC always says a wet lap is worth 4 seconds a lap...

I thought Damon Hill or Button or someone said there was probably only half a second or so that could be lost with that car in the wet. At least for the F1 drivers. Don't know if it's true or not.

Hmmm dunno - but even so wet and oil and only .3 seconds behind was amazing imo

Even the stig said it was a silly time

That's probably true for non-F1 drivers

Mark Webber was 3 seconds a lap slower than Hamilton - both in the wet as the video shows

Some believe he used the nitrous octane equipment from the Jag to breathe.
