Your films of 2008?

Post by Don Carlos »

I had a thought earlier today, and I thought about that for a while and then decided that I could not pick my favourite film of the year.

So I have gotten down to three films; Dark Knight, Tropic Thunder and Iron Man

THE films of 2008 for totally different reasons but still absolute gold in every way.

What are your choices or choice of 2008?

2008 films according to my imdb voting history:

Cloverfield - 7
The Dark Knight - 7
Wall-E - 7
Iron Man - 6
Quantum of Solace - 6

Pretty good I'd say, I've managed to avoid any stinkers.

EDIT: wrong scores

lol...that's prolly because he bought it in Blu-Ray format. According to him he doesn't actually watch a movie until it's in HD.

pixar used different wellknown nonhuman characters to model wall-e, to provoke that 'familiar' feeling.
johnny 5 was one of them, as was ET.

Incredible. An absolute masterpiece of animation, with tear worthy emotion projected from adorable characters, even with the absolute bare minimum of speech
(unlike Number Johnny 5, though clearly an inspiration in design).
Loved it. 10/10
Did you see the short before the film? Best pixar short ever.
