I didn't bother reading his post. I think Israel could ruffle some feathers in Iran if they decided to bomb their nuclear facilities (like they did in Iraq in '81). I'm not of the view that Israel should be able to hold 100-200 nukes and harass neighbouring nations that pursue a single nuke. Iran isn't a model nation, but each time we tell them to stop fucking around with nuke development they can (and do) point to this blatant hypocrisy as reason to continue.

I would rather see the IAEA monitor both Israel and Iran. As it is today, Israel does not even acknowledge that it has nukes. We know with some certainty that they have nukes because of a defector who leaked this information to the press in '86. The Mossad caught him in Britain, where he sought protection from the Israeli government, and took him back to Israel where he was jailed for 18 years in isolation before being offered limited release.

Yeah he was a snitch, but he did the right thing. The US may have known of this nuclear development but either did nothing, or actively aided the Israelis.
