Racing is dying. No more Audi in ALMS either, this fuckin sucks...

racing isn't dying, its just doing what it always does in times of recession. Economic troubles in the auto industry always cause manufacturers to trim the easy fat (an expensive motorsport budget), so they back off. The void gets filled by privateer outfits usually with some factory help. Factory efforts fluxing in and out of motorsport is par for the course and should really come as no surprise.

True, I guess it feels more like when the NHL went on strike. Only the car manufacturers have a legitimate reason for pulling their teams.
