XBox2 to be presented May 12
Legion, what you're missing is that whenever something's released multiplatform, the PS2 version is the one that looks like ass.
It's a bit fricking ironic though, given that your only claim to fame in videogameworld is that another team at your workplace is doing that Chthulu game which never seems likely to come out, and there's not going to be a PS2 version...

Generally, they're pretty close - multiformat developers dont generally bother that specialising for individual formats that much, with higher poly models etc - its lowest common denominator (gamecube, generally) that leads to the Xbox version looking almost exactly the same as the PS2 version.Geebs wrote:Legion, what you're missing is that whenever something's released multiplatform, the PS2 version is the one that looks like ass.

Gamecube and PS2 have more and better platform specific games.
I never said i had anything to do with Cthulhu, because i didnt. I just happen to work at the same company. Sorry about that.

What a fucking cunt :lol:Kracus wrote:Exactly what DO you like?
Try this. I love my x-box, i love my Game Cube, I HATE my PS2. Worthless bag of ugly slow shit that cant even get good games these days.
So, what i'm laughing at, is the stupid Xbox 2 name. Xenon sounds way cooler than x-box 360, lol.
Sorry if i hurt your inter-feelings by you reading a message on a forum
You also think remaking Quake 2 with higher resolution textures and models is a GREAT IDEA!!! Your opinion doesnt count.o'dium wrote:What a fucking cunt :lol:Kracus wrote:Exactly what DO you like?

Im no Eraser, but you have to be a fool to believe that Gamecube is the lowest common denominator. Gamecube is more powerful than the PS2. Xbox is more powerful than the Gamecube.LXS wrote:Generally, they're pretty close - multiformat developers dont generally bother that specialising for individual formats that much, with higher poly models etc - its lowest common denominator (gamecube, generally) that leads to the Xbox version looking almost exactly the same as the PS2 version.Geebs wrote:Legion, what you're missing is that whenever something's released multiplatform, the PS2 version is the one that looks like ass.

The PS2 is, by far, the lowest spec machine. The cube may not have many games but thats nintendo's fault. The machine itself is amazing. Why do you think capcom are having trouble porting re4 to the PS2? They have to cut the polycount in half and reduce the number of individual models on screen a LOT...
On the ram front, isn't it 32 for ps2, 48 for game cube and 64 for xbox?

his opinion counts a hell of a lot more than yours mate since you make such outrageously retarded and incorrect claims as this one :lol:LXS wrote:Your opinion doesnt count.
lol ps2 games look like complete fucking wank compared to xbox, cross platform or not  i cant believe you know so little about game development as not to see that  no wonder youve never made a game in your entire life :lol:LXS wrote: that leads to the Xbox version looking almost exactly the same as the PS2 version.
We're talking about cross platform games tho. In general, they run on the same engine with the same assets as the lowest spec system.Testoclesius wrote: lol ps2 games look like complete fucking wank compared to xbox, cross platform or not

Ok, one test. Go play SC:CT on a ps2 and then an x-box, and you tell me there is no difference.
Damn they had to remake the GAME just to get it to run. They even had to lower the resolution of the MENU FFS, THE MENU!
But dont woryr, under al lthis hackage and making thingsl ook like shit, it still runs worse than the xbox version, so they must be on par!
