Mapping for quakelive?

Post by WHAT!! »

How would you get in touch with the developers if you wanted to map for quake live? I have to imagine that quite a few of people have applied for the job, but I just want to know how I could go about doing it.

They haven't released the SDK yet, so there are no official tools at the moment. ZeroRadiant is the editor based off of GtkRadiant 1.4, but it's still a work in progress. It's pretty much the same as the existing editors so it should be a piece of cake porting stuff over.

It's rumoured that id Software may issue mapping competitions or something but nothing solid is planned seeing as how Quake Live is still in beta and highly experimental. It depends on how big the community grows.

You can try applying for a job at Id Software:
