Honestly, I'm just about as cynical as they come when it comes to politicians, but Obama seems to be quite a bit more genuine than what we've had to choose from in a while. I'm not saying he's a saint - or that he's not a politician lol - but between him, and Biden (who seems to wear everything right on his sleeve), I think we may have a choice that is just as promising as Bill Clinton when it comes to making the economy work for regular people. And that's one of my biggest concerns right now - maybe the biggest. The fact that they acknowledge how much the Iraq war is hurting us right now is a big part of that.

I still hardly know anything about Biden, which I need to correct. But although people seem to hate him, the worst complaint I've really heard from anyone is that he speaks without thinking and puts his foot in his mouth pretty regularly. If that's the worst of it, I don't understand why he gets so much anger and disgust from people. They must be pretty bad gaffes. I heard he told a wheelchair-bound Congressman to stand up and take a bow or something like that, which is pretty bad. But is that the worst we've got?
