Tech question - need a quicker answer than I'd get in TandT
Awhile back, I posted a question about a service in Windows you could turn off in windows to prevent getting pop-ups even when you weren't using a web browser (pop ups would show up on your desktop whenever you were online, regardless of whether exploiter, firefox, whatever, was open.)
I'll be damned if I can remember the name of it.
Anyone remember?
Thanks.

If I had users sending me messenger pop-ups I would be pissed, lol.
I always get to services by clicking Start->Run->services.msc but I'm just weird. I've got my pc setup down to such a science, I have to do about 2 or 3 hours worth of configuration before I'll consider a machine usable for work anymore. Anything less is just a waste of productivity. :icon32:

nevermind, i think i'll go to sleep.Tormentius wrote:Thats debatable. On the corporate LAN my users make good use of the service for quick popups to staff. Its not the most elegant solution but they're happy with it.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:heh, nice to know. although it should have never been enabled to begin with.

Heh. They don't send me popups since I keep it disabled on my workstations.R00k wrote:If I had users sending me messenger pop-ups I would be pissed, lol.
