take a break from things which stress you out, such as reading the news, guy. You're too fucking young to be having that kind of problem.
Re: i might be dead very soon...

Re: i might be dead very soon...
bad eating habits and lack of exercise for the past 10-12 years, and unchecked hypertension caused this...i just hope the doctor doesn't tell me to stop running and lifting weights...i already fixed my diet 6 weeks ago...i knew something was wrong since i keep having very very mild chest pains...but enuff to know it's not right...
see u guys later..in another life...

They probably will tell you to stop lifting weights, but probably not cut out exercise. Lower your sodium intake for starters, and they'll probably put you on Plavix or some shit. Add more garlic and olive oil to your diet, look into other foods that lower cholesterol.
Oh, and fuck u...

I would think that any high-intensity exercise would be a no-no, but lifting seems to be more stressful. I could be wrong. It probably depends on how bad the occlusion of the artery is, but I would suspect that moderate exercise would still be a good thing.scared? wrote:why no lifting weights? fuck that i just bought a home gym...seems like running would be more dangerous...
Keep in mind that all my medical experience comes from the Institute of Advanced Medical Moronics, though.

weight lifting seems to make your heart rate go up and down many times, running keeps it at one pace (high, usually). maybe try power walkingscared? wrote:seems like running is more high intensity than weight training...unless ur a moron...

Re: i might be dead very soon...
you could push the newborn in the stroller few blocks with weights in the stroller... that would be tough. i was watching my freinds 2 kids and pushed them around for 3 miles. shit was rough after a while.
Re: i might be dead very soon...
Good riddance.
Re: i might be dead very soon...
I have stopped watching and reading the news because I figure it might give me a fucking stroke. Usually I can laugh off stupidity and politics, but because the last election affected me in a very tangible way (No Child Left Behind and the ruin it has brought to education makes my job more painful every single day) I am really unable to detach myself from the shit, so I've just stopped watching/reading it altogether (starting this weekend, we'll see how it goes). Now I watch a shitload of sportscenter, etc.
I've been in for an EKG a couple times before, once after a leg workout where I sort of blacked out/fainted and fell forward into the rack (luckily the cage caught the bar) during a simple warm up set and another time where I had some weird heart rhythm and shooting pain and numbness down my left arm. I thought for a moment that my time was up on that last one.
Luckily they told me that an abnormal heart beat is perfectly normal from time to time.
Good luck goof. Hopefully it won't be as serious as it sounds.
With that heart issue you also need to watch out for straining too hard on the shitter.
