It's fantastic so far, and everyone I've talked to that has or has had one sings their praises. I was specifically trying to avoid Windows 6.1 wonkiness.Doombrain wrote:you're kidding.... fuckin awful phones.Nightshade wrote:I just got a Blackberry Curve and I fucking love it.

Agreed I miss my Curve. I have adapted to the iPhone 3g now but it's somewhat crippling compared to the straight up on top of everything Blackberry.Nightshade wrote: It's fantastic so far, and everyone I've talked to that has or has had one sings their praises. Tegra enabled devices will own this shit. 1080p 30fps. USB hub functionality, hdmi etc.

Haven't seen much info of it around though. They're saying consumer products using the 600 and 650 are coming out at the end of this year.
edit: 24 fps on 1080p it seems.

From what I'm told by several friends that have it, it's buggy, slow, and insecure.R00k wrote:What's wrong with Windows 6.1?

Hmm, I've loved Windows Mobile so far. I might have to look into that before I buy another phone.

upgraded windows mobile on my samsung and it was flawless. Don't know what 3rd party apps make it crash, but it ran all the IM clients, googlestuffs and a small cygwinish term with no real hiccups.

i would get the iphone, but my cell provider doesn't offer it, and i have an amazing voice package
Re: Sony Ericsson W980
My step-bro seems to love his. I played around with it a bit last weekend and wasn't really impressed nor underwhelmed. It looks nice, the responsiveness seems a hair slow but acceptable, and it seems to be loaded with good apps and features. The voicemail is downloaded to your phone locally and displayed in a informative list, so that's pretty tight.Scarface wrote:[lvlshot]http://www.phonemag.com/blog/wp-content/gallery/samsung-f490-and-sprint-m800/Samsung%20Instinct%20at%20CTIA%202008-32.jpg[/lvlshot]
