As an aside, it is still incomprehensible to me how any 'true blue' Christian can be FOR the death penalty. Can anyone help me understand this?

Because people who do such things as to warrent the death penalty are a disgrace to god and will be going to hell anyway so why not just speed along the process but lets pray for their souls anyway as the needle is injected?
