I was referring to the point that anytime someone dies there will invariably be the post that makes fun of it.

As for his physique - compared to the average fat American he wasn't that bad, but it did look like he was the type who might suffer from high blood pressure.

Regardless, I thought he was a good interviewer. Usually watched his show on Sunday mornings. Wonder how the longest running show in the history of TV will adjust to whoever the new host will be.

I like Chris Matthews at certain times, in certain circumstances...but I think it'd would be a disaster if NBC gave the slot to him. My guess would be David Gregory.

I've watched Meet the Press every Sunday for the last 5-6 years. :(

russert did a good job giving a fair interview even though you knew what his political leanings were. I saw Meet the Press back in the early 60's when my Dad watched it and I didn't give a damn.

As a diehard Republican, I thought he did a good job and I consider this a big loss :(
