Thats sad to hear man, around me there are plenty of chain stores, but the local places still get a lot of business. They pack their sandwichs to the point where you can barely get your mouth around them. There are some local places that have awesome variety too which I love.

I stopped at a local sandwich place in palm bay, fl for lunch a few weeks ago and they had the best bread i'd eaten in years. Why can't there be one here?????
