Anybody who uses a Zune

Everybody has their own tastes, so things I dislike will probably be points others like. For me though:
-overpriced
-styling is meh
-too thin -- difficult to use confidently w/ one hand
-screen quality isn't as good as some other brands
-the sheeple effect -- I admit it freely, that's a big turnoff.
-doesn't support enough formats
-no equalizer (don't know if that's changed)
-no fm or voice recorder

I'm not saying it sucks. I just happen to believe there are much better options. Don't want to turn this into a fanboy war, though.

As for iTunes... yeah. I don't think I need to defend myself on that one.

all ipods cept the Shuffle have eq. and for those that dont, you can eq in itunes and itll copy it to your pod.

As far as being for "sheeple," the same could be said for wearing clothes or eating.

Now that's just not true is it? If everyone wore the same clothes (which some do.. A&F, Hollister, Tommy, etc) then that argument works. And in that case, I do feel the same about those sorts of people.
As for eating, well that's just a ridiculous argument.

@Juggs: I use my Zen to record hours and hours of talks. I don't have enough storage on my phone to make it worthwhile. I don't even know if its microphone is good enough for that.

@feedback: I'm not saying the Zune is better that the iPod. It's probably worse for all I know. I've never used one.

@MKJ: oic. I stand corrected. Is that a newer feature? I looked it up and from what I can tell, it only has eq. presets.

btw, how many formats do you need? You're using earbuds so MP3 or AAC will suffice.

Lots of people have plenty of good reasons for disliking iPods and iTunes. Does it bother you?

i don't even have an ipod, but what is there to "REALLY" dislike about it? i can understand itunes since it's bloaty as fuck.

For me, it's all about the tactile controls. Can't use a Touch while wearing latex gloves. That alone makes it useless to me.
Well, that and the reasons I listed above.

It does look like a pretty slick piece of kit, though. I like the design and concept.

Eh, I guess werldhed summed up most of my "dislikes" about itunes/ipod. I don't like the naming style of aac files, or having to conver my mp3s to aac (no idea if this is what really goes on, been awhile since I've looked into an ipod). I just never cared for the look/setup of itunes.

I suppose the 'sheep' factor of having an ipod is one reason I went with a zune. I do admit, the new ones look damn sexy, maybe I'll get one someday. I was just being really picky that day.
