The DNA record of US ancestory contradicts mormon beliefs.
Mormons believe that they are direct descendants of ye olde Isreal or someshit, but there is no biological link at all to connect the two.
There was a program on TV about a mormon elder who was a biologist professor. He got told to STFU when he brought up this evidence, then threatened, then exiled.

I don't want this to become a religion thread either, because I hate Kracus so.
But at the risk of creating such a thread, did anyone catch Rough Cuts on the CBC last night? The CBC also reported that ~30% of Canadians have no religious affiliation.

That same Rough Cuts episode interviews Svend Robinson (NDP MP) who rallied against including the mention of God in the 1982 constitution. His party attempted to quiet him and replaced his position in helping create the constitution with a catholic priest MP (or something like that) who included this nugget right at the beginning of our constitution.Massive Quasars wrote:I don't want this to become a religion thread either, because I hate Kracus so.

Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:

Oh yes. They consider themselves a lost tribe of Israel, all based on some guys 'translation' of mythical 2000 year old gold plates no one has seen in the 1800s.
Why is it not gonna' work. Because of the distance or ping or something?bikkeldesnikkel wrote:thats not gonna work man!! you should fight duhard then if you want to get some crushing doneMagnus wrote:WV. USA![]()

Not too treible bad.
My ISP is not the best in the world bit when it is working properly I average 4400kb/ps down and 532kb/ps up. Of courswe when they are doing something stupid with the server I am lucky to get 2800kb/ps down and 249kb/ps up.
Is this why you are saying its not gonna' work?
Uh, well....good luck with that.

Couple of my great great great aunts were married to Brigham Young, he had like 28 wives or something like that. Never knew I was descended from murderers and polygamists until I started asking questions of my biological father.
Nice to see someone around here finally upstage me. So does someone in your family have the name Stout? If I am right on my history here, Hosea Stout was said to be the one who killed whatever Smith it was so BY could have a chance at the presidency.
I guess I was born a MoMo since I have had close family in both the presidency and the quorum of twelve. Lucky for me, my parents were not into the whole mess and the only time I’ve ever been to a Mormon church is for funerals.
Overall, I don’t think of Mormons as any wackier than other religious groups. You can find something about any denomination that will make you scratch your head. Wait, I guess they are just a little weirder than most.

denz you big goof! Living as close to Mecca as you do, you should have figured this out by now….denzii wrote:MrSparkle wrote:But what makes a religion a cult? IIRC, their belief is that the more good deeds you do, the more shit you'll recieve up in heaven. That's fucking crazy.
THat's why if you meet a nice Mormon Girl she won't give you the time of the day unless you're a mormon too.
You have to go after the young ones. 18,19,20. Catch them when they are rebelling against family and church. Mormon girls are some of the biggest hoochies out there, you just have to catch them at the right time. Jeez, I thought we had gone over this already
