I think the co-op would make it worth it...wish that would have been on the pc version...i might still have it installed then. heh.

Doom 3 fucking sucks for PC IGN say, but for x-box it rocks becaue id took all the shit out and replaced it with goodness.

So, IGNs final word is its an average game, with new bits, and the coop is what makes it a good buy.

I like it more on x-box myself. From what i've played so far its miles better. And the online coop mode just rocks, the cinematics are great.

it's great how they can run it so fine on a P3 700 megahurtz with 64 mb of ram, well if you don't need 1600x1200 + 100 fps

They should make a PS2 version because PS2 is so much better than xbox.

I just picked it up yesterday, and I'm rather pleased with it.
Coming from a POS comp playing doom3, I'm glad that the shadows can be enabled, along with higher quality textures, etc. (the teleportation effect kicks ass btw.)
The controls aren't bad, either, they are very similar to Halo 2's defaults.

Campaign mode is the exact same as the PC version, so not much to talk about here.

Online is fun; Last Man Standing, Tourney, Team DM and Deathmatch are great. Co-op is kickass as well, but it is shortened quite a bit, but not too much.

Anyone wants to play on xblive, add DeathCactus to your list.

Wrong bud :P

Its pretty much the same, but a LOT has been changed now. A lot of things have gone, and a lot of new things ahve been added, and so far from what i've played, its miles ahead of the PC version. Gotta love the new layout. You dont get bored walking around as much.

So then how is it the same if its different?

I didn't find the PC version boring or shitty and I played it on a fucking Geforce2...

Then your a cunt, obviosuly.

Its boring as hell, and adds NOTHING that any other FPS game hasn't done before. If you can't agree on that, then, your just a twat.

I bought it for the collector's edition, gotta say it's fuckin awesome. Runs very smooth, graphics look the same to me coming from the medium quality pc settings, umm... I'm just very surprised it actually runs well and fun.

Controls are great , feels 100x better than Halo, someone should make the guys at Bungie play D3 and learn. Still wish I could map the buttons my way though, when will fps devs learn (like in goldeneye and PD). I like to walk with my face buttons.

I just wish id had the money to release "Doom 3: Directors Cut" on PC.

Release Doom 3, with the better SP maps that the x-box version has, with the coop mode built in for lan and online play, and RoE, All for a nice price tag. That sounds good to me.

Oh, and the snazzy metal tin too.

Anyways, I only played doom 2 and ultimate doom splitscreen on the xbox up till now, and it's going to be worth the extra money when I buy it.
