looking for good free tracerouter

specifically one that can graphically display ping/packetloss over time, like at the bottom of this image:



do any free solutions exist?

Have you tried the ones that can be found at Snapfiles?
Specifically here, http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/netwo ... route.html
There's one called Ping Plotter there (same software name as it says at the bottom of the image you posted), but it's version 1.2 from almost a year ago. There are a few more tracerouters there, all freeware.

I couldn't try any of them 'cause I'm not on Windows, but Snapfiles freeware section looks like a good place to look at, as it's not full of crapware.

tx forthe link - pingplotter used to have the graph plotting for free, but now u need to pay for that feature. Will look around tho...
