Was going to get one of these for the 360. Have heard that 08 has some nice new features, but that the swing mechanics (especially the sensitivity of your tee shots) aren't as good as before - the smallest errors will cause huge hooks or slices to the point where it is an exercise in frustration.
07 doesn't have all the features, but the analog swing is much more forgiving.

Anyone who has played both have any opinions here?

I've played 07. The swing/putt mechanics are much better than previous versions. Surprisingly buggy, however. Nothing game breaking, though.

I haven't played 08, though.

I have played '08 and not being very good at it, I constantly slice and hook shots.

It can be pretty annoying. My friend doesn't have nearly as much trouble as I do, but he is really good.

I have to, actually, as I am still only able to game for an average for 30 minutes to 1 hour on a given day (although I did manage to put more time than that into mass effect).

That would leave me a lot of time during the day to do nothing if all I was doing was gaming.

Tiger 08 is ace - never tried 07 though as a comparrison...

im a long time tw's player(on ps2/3 tho)
get your self an adapter so you can use the older/third party controllers.
they seem to be much more forgiving on the hook/slice deal.
i had one for years that i literally had to try hard to get any kind of hook/slice out of it. and they are usually much easier to get a full red power shot as well.
