Strange oceanic creature found in New Mexico

Of course they played the Chupacabra card at first, but after bringing it to the authorities, they want everyone to know there is no reason to fear... Remain placid. Take your citizen pills. It does have the face of a fish-like animal, but other than that, I only know of four fish that have the ability to fly and none look like this, even when dried up.

Wacky stuff.

Edit: And now for rep's Added Value™ section of this post. One of my favorite early shots of Quake 3 Arena. Click Click And the One-Thousand Dollar Bill, with President Cleveland: Click Click

That looks interesting, it could be already extinct but it looks like it's extremly well preserved. A dna test would show exactly what type of animal it is.

My guess is something that died within five years of it being found, after flood waters recessed following a monsoon.

Just looked like a fossilized skeletal fragment to me...unlikely for there to be much DNA (if any) to work with if that is the case.

C-14 dating could be used to get an initial estimate at the age (if it is no older than 60,000 yrs to 100,000 yrs depending on the dating method used).

Pretty shitty photograph to include for what is supposed to be such a monumental find...

its kinda funny how meny times those pictures of the aquadic deep sea animals can be re-used each and everytime someone says that they found a new deep sea animal.
