Yes Foo, its Hard-tail.
Yes Kracus its a good lock with a real key.

I added the "cup holder" to look sprorty...

but i will probably remove it.
The position of the lock holder is crap... but the hold for the lock dident fit around the frame and i dont want it under the saddle.

Tomorrow is the virgin trip in the forest.. today i have tightened and checked everything on it..greased it up etc....

derailers are the parts that move your chain up or down the Og's, so on the front ( 3 ) or the year ( 7 )..

Mud flap is a practical reason, it looks shite..but i rather have that than dirt all over my ass and back.

I'm not sure which they replaced, but Acer ("Acera" in the states, I believe) are pretty decent. Good for recreational use, I'd imagine.

Shimano cs-hg30-81.

Its a mediocre bike for $700 so i guess most parts on it is also mediocre.

i dunno, my last bike ( that my brother took after he lost his licence ) is a CCM, with RST Team 281's in the front, Shemano LX's all the way around with a Alum 2X-25 Frame..

Was a nice bike... cost me ~380CDN.

Make sure you've got a tire repair kit and a bike tool handy. You'll find on the first couple of rides that you might need to adjust the settings on the derailleurs and the brakes so they work the way you want to ride with them.

does it list what your chassis is made of? ( obviously alum, but what grade )

My best advice to you if you want to get rid of the cupholder AND not have your lock on your bike (which is a good idea both for looks and functionality going through trails with a lot of branches) is to get a camelback pack. They are a little expensive but well worth it. You'll be able to put your fluids (water) in the pack, a straw lets you drink out of it so you can keep both hands on the bike and drink at the same time, AND also doubles as a small backpack if you buy the right model which should be able to store a bike lock.

So if you don't mind my asking how much did you pay for it?

also those seats WILL hurt your ass for the first 2 or 3 weeks of riding if you ride often then it'll stop hurting. Unless of course you want to get a more comfortable seat, I prefer racing seats myself because of the light weight.

Well that's a pretty good price. You woulda liked to have known me about 6 months ago when I sold my Giant. It was a dual suspension bike with a nice set of disk breaks and I sold it for 700$

Sounds like a good deal.
Was at a friends place today... he has an Cannondale bike, that motherfucker is fucking mean, i belive he paid a high amount of money for it 5 years ago.

Yeah I always liked Canondale downhill bikes, those things were the bomb. I paid roughly 2,000$ for my giant after I had added all the extras, the bike itself stock was only 1,400 but after the disk breaks (400) and the ritchie pedals (400) it was definitely over 2k. Not as expensive as a canondale I imagine but still a pretty good bike. I've had several others too, my most expensive was a 4,000 dollar carbon fiber GT I had when I was racing. Awsome bike.

What i really like about the EDGE series is the double rims to protect the wheel from getting bent.
The frame is also high quality i must say, good weldings and a robust frame that looks and feels like it can take a few beatings.

We will see after 2-3 weeks of off-roading :icon34:

The 2 and 2 spokes looks nice.
The pedals has a nice grip to them and the handlebars are very comftarble in all ways.

Overall it seems like a nice midrange bike with a surmountable pricetag. :icon30:

well definitely get somethign that'll allow you to bring water. I have one on my bike and I'll take the bad look (I don't find them ugly tbh) over no water anyday.
