Well, if you've ever driven through an agricultural area where there's miles of crops, the fertilizer smell gets so bad that it feels like you could almost taste it. And it tastes like marmite. I think they make the fertilizer out of cow poo. There's a place on Highway 5 called Coalinga, they have masses of cows there and they are collecting the poo into large mountains to sell for fertilizer. If the wind is blowing toward your car when you pass there, you have to hold your breath for as long as you can and drive fast to escape the smell. it's enough ta choke ya. So although I haven't personally eaten fertilizer or a cow poo, I feel like I have.
