It installed and played... horribly. It recommends medium for the settings. Which looks like ass compared to UT3 or COD4. Unplayable on high or very high

I doubt it. Like Gears of War and Assassin's Creed, it'll most likely be XP-compatible as well, otherwise M$ would lose out in sales.
