Madden has sucked since ESPN (2K3 or w/e) came out, nothing could compair and madden is always just recycled bullshit.
GoW was fun ONCE through SP on each difficulty, multi is nothing more than a bunch of windowlickers thinking that shit is skill, its not.
COD 3 was "meh" at best
Just cause, was alright actually, but not a system seller by any means.

Yeah, there's nothing new in Madden, but what they do they do very well. I can see not liking it, but saying it sucks is a bit much. I don't play GoW MP, tried and couldn't get interested in it.

I really wanted to like Dead Rising, but it's one of those games that's artificially difficult. The weapons breaking after so many hits, for instance. I can see breaking a table or bench, but how the FUCK do you break a dumbbell on a zombie skull? The people you have to rescue are fucking retards, and OH BOY LET'S PUT LEGO HEADS ON ZOMBIES AND THEN TAKE THEIR PICTURE! Stupid fucking gimmick that was worth about half a giggle.
Technically it was impressive for the vast number of zombies on screen at once with no fps drop, but the game was a dud. Sorry you can't handle the truth.

I thought the graphics in Just Cause looked like dated PS2 graphics. The skydiving was cool though. You should be ashamed of your opinion of Dead Rising though, it's a great game (FOR SHAME!!!).

Madden is just shit now is all. I used to like it pre 2k3, but damn after ESPN it just cant hold a candle as far as gameplay, AI, and presentation goes.

COD3 i just didnt like. Loved COD, loved COD2. Couldnt stand 3, it didnt feel right to me >_>. I pray 4 is better. I really like the COD series as a whole.


Dead rising tho, jesus its so good .. I think your problem is your looking for shit to be realistic. Its not. Things break so you have to THINK about blindly using a weapon or making a break for it. If they didnt, you could just clear the whole place out with a sledge and never pick up another weapon. Its like that so you have to think before you act.

I'm not looking for complete realism, there's real and then there's ridiculous. I hate the save system, too. I just think that if I DO want to waste a bunch of zombies with a sledgehammer, I should be able to do so until I find a better weapon. Chainsaw running out of gas? Sure. Rifle run out of bullets? Of course. Butcher knife spontaneously flying out of my hand? No way.
I'll get around to finishing it eventually, but it will be a slog.

Dead Rising takes a bit of persistence, but once it all clicks, it's just superb.
Until you get to about level 13-15, there's no point trying to follow the story at all. You're just not powerful enough, so the best way to play is just to play until you die, then restart, as you start the game again with your current level.

Regarding items breaking, you can use books to increase the longevity of items.
The best weapon in the game, the mini chainsaw you get for killing Adam the psycho clown in Wonderland Plaza, can be "Triple-booked" by holding the Engineering, Criminal Biography and Entertainment books in your inventory.
Once triple-booked, an item's good for ~1,000 kills.

I agree that the survivors are utter planks, but that's half the fun for me. There's nothing like trying to escort 6+ complete muppets back to the security room, each with their own unique personality quirks.

Once you've got a few levels under your belt and some effective weapons, it really opens up. Do keep trying, you won't regret it.

This is coming from someone who managed to get the Zombie Genocider achievement for killing over 53,594 zombies in one playthrough...

I'd highly suggest getting shadowrun dude, it's got a very good arcade feel to it and plays incredible. Not many maps but they make up for it in quality, I'd say every map they have reminds me of the Q3DM6 day's in terms of quality. It takes awhile to really get into the game cause you'll suck at first but once you do it's amazing.

Otherwise there's a ton of games out there that are really decent right now. If you do get shadowrun send me a friend request, I play that game all the time, it's like crack.
