what "im driving at" is that if a person is not happy with the conditions they're working under then its time they stopped bitching about it and changed things.
of course ppl who work in dead end jobs, like check out chicks, video store jockeys et al will never be able to change the situation and yes it is the gov place to "look out for them" (fuck knows they can't do it themselves cause they're so dense, which is why they're working those jobs to start with)
i work harder and longer than my employees, yes my financial reward is greater, as it should be because i was the one who got off my arse and put in the time to build my business, i could have said "fuck it i'll just be a worker" and had an easier life, but im not that way
thats very kind of you to attemt to advice rook.

i feel it wont do much but frustrate and anger him tho .

everylittle detail of every little thing he doesnt know or understand doesnt exist to him! its alot of effert for a person to aid someone like that, esspecially after he inevitably becomes angrey :olo:

he only is a master of what he knows (rofl) and if it doesnt conform to that, he only has frustration and deniel.

jus sayin
it is about time!

I think R00k's point is more the larger, cultural one, as opposed to the individual work ethic.

My company didn't fail, I made a decision to go back to a full time job because I wanted benefits, and I got tired of the "feast then famine" cycle of profits. I'm positive that if I had stuck it out longer it would have evened out and become a solid business, but I was a little younger and the time I put into it wasn't worth what I got out of it then. I fully plan to do it again in the next few years, because I already know I can do it and I want to before I have kids.

But I wasn't bitching about any part of my personal life, see. So your attacks/criticisms are irrelevant. And you were diverting the discussion toward criticizing other people, instead of listening to what I was saying.

If you agree that the government should mandate vacation time and minimum wage, I don't understand what I said that you took issue with. I never complained about my job or station. So what exactly were you replying to?

It now sounds like you agree with what I said in this thread?
