Re: Energy drinks
i hadnt realized there were so very many diff ones!
ive never tried any
i occaisionally slam 1/2 a jamaican ginger beer if i'm torqueing in the heat of something, its got plain sugar and gives me energy with a nice bite!
maybe i should try one, whats the plainest one?

Re: Energy drinks
I always enjoyed Bawls the most for potency/flavor. I find that guarana is the best for supressing appetite and providing steady energy levels between meals. Redbull is good too but I'm not a fan of most of these new drinks such as Rockstar, Boo-Koo, Joker among many others.

I drank 8 bull-blasters in a night once ...Nightshade wrote:lol, what a fucking prize-winning dolt.8 cans in 5 hours, da fuck did he think was going to happen?

That was a horrible, horrible, horrible, drunk. Heart rate around 500. Room spinning. You want to pass out from the Jaeger but you can't because you're fucking heart is about to blow out through the back of your chest.

Re: Energy drinks
I hardly ever drink energy drinks. The only time I ever do is when I'm going out at night and don't have much energy. In that case I'll usually get a red bull and vodka, and that gives me all the bump I need.
But I've only done that maybe twice in the last 4-5 months.
I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning (I've cut back a little), and usually a coca cola classic with lunch, and one later with dinner. Aside from that, I just drink water all day, and occasionally some OJ in the morning.

My favourites are either Xenergy or Rock Star sugar free.

I've just gotten to the point now where coffee in the morning isn't so appealing. August in NC, go figure.R00k wrote:I hardly ever drink energy drinks. I found that drinking a Monster Lo-Carb before hitting the dojo keeps me feeling more energetic during sparring at the end of class. Last Friday night I rolled with five guys in a row for a total of about 12 minutes straight, and only the last guy was able to pass my guard. Heh, dude still couldn't tap me out, either.

Oh, and if anyone thinks that sparring for 12 minutes isn't a big deal, try it. Especially when one of the guys weighs 260lbs.

Re: Energy drinks
redbull is the "easiest" to drink, but generally costs more per ounce.
Re: Energy drinks
Some people I know mix Red Bull with Vodka all night long in clubs

Re: Energy drinks
5 hour energy shots are the best. Im not a big fan of energy drinks tho.Nightshade wrote:Anyone here have a favorite brand? It's damn hot down here in the dirty south and I've been looking into some different energy drinks. I tried a 5 Hour Energy Shot on Wednesday and it was great. I drank it at about 5:45PM and felt great all through jiu-jitsu class, didn't feel tired until about midnight. No crash, no jitters, just felt alert and energized. I think it helped my endurance slightly, but it's definitely no substitute for good cardio conditioning.
I drank a Monster Lo-Carb today, it tasted great and worked well, for about two hours. Dozed off in my cube right after lunch. I'm trying to avoid drinks with shitloads of sugar and caffeine, that's why I liked that 5 Hour drink, tons of B vitamins, ginseng, and taurine.
Suggestions?

Re: Energy drinks
Pffft, the closest a faggot like Poohard has ever come to smoking coke is when he opened a shaken up can of it and it shot up his nose. Just like his boyfriend's load.
