I am stuck at trying to understand the difference between AMD Athlon 64 and AMD Athlon 64 FX.

Whats different in Athlon 64 FX, compared to the Athlon 64?

Why is it $200 more?

The FX has its multiplier unlocked and I think it has 1 megabyte cache. The core 2 duo e6600 out performs the fx-60 in gaming.
