el-cheapo speakers

Post by U4EA »

Need a recommendation for a decent pair of cheap speakers for (mainly) listening to music on a PC. I'm currently looking at:

Logitech X-230
Creative Inspire 2500
Creative Inspire T2900
Altec Lansing 221

Any thoughts?

I have a pair of the Altec 221. Nice, I guess.

There are also 2.0 options out there that might suite your needs. I have issues with all the wiring and extra space needed for a sub, so if I were in the market again I would get this:

EDIT: on second thought, they aren't that cheap :p

a bit spendy for a 2.0 set.

*edit* and i see that you edited :icon26:

a tech at work has a set of those actually, and, for pc speakers, they sound decent, but like any other sub-less 2.0 set they need some bottom end.
