Who buys just the helmet anyway? Who sells just the helmet? Some people will buy anything. Who makes just the helmet?
Maybe the helmet was supposed to bought with the rest of the costume so different sizes of the rest could be chosen. "Well, durr, lets just get a helmet!" idiots.
A helmet is a type of hat. Would it be funny if someone was wearing a pirate hat and nothing else piratey? No. It's the same thing.
