I'm doing some work with C#.NET on the 2.0 Framework and since VS.NET 2003 doesn't support the 2.0 Framework I had to upgrade. I needed a quick fix so I went out and got Express C# 2005 Beta and I am VERY impressed.
I have a feeling that VS 2005 is going to be absolutely amazing. It looks like they have taken what was great in 2003 and continued to build upon it. Some of the cool little features include:
-classnames are color coded
-intellisense can autocomplete variable names
-intellisense remembers what you use the most and goes straight to it
-intellisense gives you a tree view in the tool-tip over an array
-on the fly errors and warnings
-definition window allows you to instantly view the actual definition of the object under the cursor
There's a lot of other shit but I was just curious what you guys thought.
Anyone try out the MS Express products?
its a beta but the Express programs are freeware for hobbyists.
