ive been off work for the last 2 days cos i have a fucking shitty cold.
not just a sneeze, totally blocked nose, throat of death, aching body, etc
I know its making issues for my company, as students are being cancelled because im not available.
In another job, I would suck it up and go to work, however I dont feel able to teach 1 to 1 lessons, when Im leaking mucus and walking round like a zombie.
when you are sick do you put up with it and work, or do you phone them and spend the day in bed?
I'll usually go to work, but I'll schedule my experiments so I have an easy load. I won't do 12+ hour experiments on those days. I can typically avoid too much interaction with people, so it works out.

thats my problem. im an english teacher, so my day at work is spent dealing with cunts who wanna talk to me and learn english.
if i was just sitting in an office, i would have gone today, but feeling shit and having to deal with some retarded kid learning ABCs or a researcher having me correct his scientific paper, is a fucking nightmare.

i rarely get sick. colds hardly last more than a day or two and i barely notice them to begin with. so if i get noticebly sick i usually know i should stay home and take it easy.
for the most part i dont mind sick people attempting to go out and work and whatnot. as long as they are still productive and aren't being to distractive while staying sanitary im fine. but if they're the kind that make it known to everyone they have a "slight cough" or "achy head" or if they slobber all over and dont try to keep things contained then they can outright go fuck themselves.
Last week I came down with some odd bug, plus I learned that I was being screwed out of about a weeks paid holiday due to them fiddling my allowances... so I could feasibly have worked, but didn't.
i stay home... thats what sick days are for.
i'd prefer it if the heros would just stay home as well. I hate it when someone comes in sick as a bitch, does 1/2 the work they can normally do, and then subsequently passes their plague onto 10 other people.

If i can handle it I would go to work depending on who's there. I was ill last week so I was allowed to work at home. My workplace are pretty good when it comes to things like that
get back to work u pussy, a cold is nothing. if your 1 to 1 teaching thats easier, just take your tissues and pills with you, sit further back from them and get them to do more talking.
