Question for those in long term relationship

Post by bitWISE »

Do you ever wind up thinking the same thing at exactly the same time?

I was lying in bed with my gf last night with my forehead pressed against hers trying to fall asleep. Out of nowhere I start repeating a line from a Sheryl Crow song. Just one line...over and over and over. This went on for 30 seconds and finally I rolled over because I couldn't make it stop. I can't even remember the song anymore because I'm not a Sheryl Crow fan. Which makes it even more weird. I think it was something like "Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard."

So just for the hell of it I roll over and ask my gf if she was thinking about a song. And she is like yeah some Sheryl Crow song. So I sang her the line that was stuck in my head and she is like "Yeah I just started singing that in my head when we layed down."

I was thoroughly freaked out...I haven't heard that damn song in AGES and I have no idea why it would have came into my head.

I heard that might be caused by being born around the same time of the year.

That's just something I heard somewhere

yeah it's like some strange cosmic coincidence. 8 friends of mine are born in March, excluding me.

What is scary is when me and my freinds (we have all basically led the same life for the last so many years) do that shit.

Just completely out of the blue....but it isn't Sheryl Crow. That is for sure.

I hope she's not thinking the same thing... Otherwise I might have to kill her first!

Hello my friends

That reminded me of the strangest thing that happened to me.

In 1978, as I was packing my back-sac for my hitchiking trip to California, my mother gave me a little pack with cisor, thread and needle, few plasters...things of that sort in it.

In Calif, a friend left me his house for free in exchange of minors
renovations. I was installing new accoustic tiles on the ceiling and
some scrap of it fell into one of my eyes. I was for three days with my eye swollen and it was very ''itching''and it made me sneeze all the time. As I open my mother's pack for some bandage, I found a tube of some type of ointment specially for eyes application....
The next morning the pain was gone. How could she know that something like that could have happened? It's the only time I ever used it in my life.

Mom's are always prepared for everything. You could get bitten by a poisonous snake and there would be a mom there ready to McGuiver-up some anti-venom out of lipstick, hand sanitizer, and a match.

I guess so, humans didn't figure out how to use that capability though.
