Weapons aren't really the problem; scale is the problem. The whole thing is just too freaking huge, unless you're shooting for re-enacting the Second Strogg War, in which case you should remove the rail gun.
Even though the smaller hitboxes (patch 1.4 inbound) help a great deal to reduce the RG's dominance, you simply have (imnvho) some huge huge lines of sight wherein players will really only use MG and RG, because projectiles will take so long to arrive that my little sister could dodge them.
I'd recommend tightening up the map (4 second run time in straight line is really long, for Quake) and working with the scale before you go further, even before you worry about weapon loadouts and tweaking.
On the plus side: if you shrink this thing, you'll have way, way less surface area to texture. Right now, texturing your walls without simply tiling textures over and over again is going to be a lot of work.
There are some good ideas in the map (Quad room shows you understand the fun provided by terraces and verticality, for instance); it just needs the overall scale reworked, and it's much easier to do it at this early stage than later, when you actually have brushwork you care about.
That upload site doesn't seem to want to play well with Firefox. Most of the images on the page don't show up, including the image which is supposed to generate the random security text for the download, making it rather difficult to actually download the file.
My intent was to make a dm map for 5-8 players. I don't want a total carnage map, so this is why I builded many rooms and corridors. The quad area is huge, ok, I'm trying to resize it again(maybe splitting it in two smaller room) but from the beginning I though it as a dangerous room...I said I didn't want a carnage map...but some caos when the quad pop up should be funny. That's why I made so big and with many levels.
Pjw suggested to make the mh reachable even without the strafejump...and it's a good thing...'couse I removed the stairs and reduced the LOS.

If you're sure about it and want the size the way it is, then go ahead.
It's quit huge but it's not vast or scaled totally wrong. Just has lots of corridors and room. Nothing wrong about that if it's intended for so many players.
