That's pretty fucking cool. And it looks a damn sight less gay than the last iMac.

Of course it is impossible that he does not want to take the time to learn a new OS and is perfectly happy with XP. Maybe he hates Apple, but I find it ironic that you are saying he is ignorant when you are ignorant to why he wishes the mini was not a Mac4g3nt_Smith wrote:Too bad you're an ignorant fool.Eraser wrote:Those mini's are damn sexy

Yea, but the 20 inch costs 3 times as much as a normal desktop. Fuck that.Nightshade wrote:http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?family=iMac

Well yeah, I'm not a Mac hater per sé, it's just that if those mini's were x86 systems I'd be actually interested in them. And the software support for Macs is, just like that of any other OS, significantly lower than for win32 so that's why I've never bothered with any other operating system. Well yea I've bothered with Linux but I gave up quickly after I figured it was too much messing around with script files. Too much of a learning curve for a desktop OS. Also, Macs are far too expensive for me.Kills On Site wrote:Of course it is impossible that he does not want to take the time to learn a new OS and is perfectly happy with XP. a 17" LCD and a stylish, convenient form factor doesn't make things process any quicker.Canis wrote:But it has a 17" LCD display and a convenient form factor that is really appealing to many people. That's not the point. Although you may require speed and capacity, it's all about style and form factor for many people, otherwise apple wouldnt be doing so well these days. The computers are appealing, and it's not because of the processing power.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:a 17" LCD and a stylish, convenient form factor doesn't make things process any quicker.Canis wrote:But it has a 17" LCD display and a convenient form factor that is really appealing to many people. dont forget that macs use ram differently than peecees.Dr.Gibbs wrote:Not sure I can justify paying $1500 for a computer that only has 256MB of RAM
similar comparison: the xbox only had 64 mb ram, but is quite seccuesful holding its own

but 256 is still on the low side, even for a mac
