Mayans to 'cleanse' Bush site

Post by mjrpes »

http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/americas/ ... index.html
"That a person like (Bush) with the persecution of our migrant brothers in the United States, with the wars he has provoked is going to walk in our sacred lands is an offense for the Mayan people and their culture," Juan Tiney, director of a Mayan non-governmental organization with close ties to Mayan religious and political leaders, told The Associated Press.
LOL that's great.

So what's the greek prescription for cleansing land unholied by Bush's presence? Does it include violent anal sex with young men?

you're close, the only way we can regain our land is to do one up on the unholiness

I say we find the mecca of feta cheese producing country, create a political agenda around an unrelated yet globally trivial subject and invade!

Who are they even talking about? Surely they aren't talking about Mexican immigrants - Bush is the one wanting to give them amnesty. =\

it's unlikely that's filtered through to people in guatemala yet, all they'll have is horror stories from migrant workers.
Privately, U.S. officials charge that protests over Bush's visit -- which include battles between demonstrators and police in Brazil -- are being fomented and financed by Chavez.
wouldn't put it past him, but it's not like he'd need to. do they have any evidence for saying that, or are they just chumming the water?

exactly - why would Chavez need to foment any kind of demonstration against Bush? he's had the biggest protests in history against him in the last few years, and they were fomented by nothing more than his own policies.

privately, because a public statement to that effect would be laughed off the planet

Hundreds of demonstrators have rioted outside the US embassy in Mexico City, in the latest protest against President George W Bush's tour of Latin America.
