just a thought tho, to add some color to the board... what if you replace the FAQ, Search etc icons with the red ones inplicit posted
Why remove good board features???
Not a bad idea they are all here http://www.phase0.info/images/forum_icons_red/
and the default ones I made are all here.

just to let you know
I'm keeping as close to old skool q3w as possible as if you try something new, you always get some people loving it and some hating it, if I stick to something everyone loves, it's easier to keep more people pleased.
i won't be making any major style changes because of this, just trying to aim for the q3w feel whilst keeping phpbb functionality.
i'm using archive.org to lookup the style of each q3w page... and I'm actually tempted to add a fake banner at the top to make it a little more old skool... but it seems a pointless relic.

we used to have this above signatures before:Memphis wrote:Now, to be REALLY fickle just for the sake of it...
The new post icons would look better in red or something, rather than orange
God that's so petty i'm almost proud of it :icon32:
edit: Oh and the white line above signatures looks shit

what makes you think I won't implement all this (given enough time)?Memphis wrote:Still there's some things that won't be the same. At least I think not.Turbanator wrote:just to let you know

Like 1 sig per thread. And that bloody awful seperate icon selection window
In fact if the emoticon selection has to stay like that, it may be an idea to change the ones readily available to more commonly used ones, rather than having to open up the seperate window
i like the Y [icq] [msn] thingys on the post, but that just might be me... much easier if you need that info. turn down the saturation in the icons if the colour is overpowering ?
oh, and if you're not going to customise the FAQ, i'd definately can it. all it contains is vague instructions on how to post on a bb, and i'm sure anyone who has managed to find this place can figure that much out for themselves. (same with usergroups)
