Quiet cases?
I want something that contains the noise of my system as much as possible. I found some Antec cases for $120 which seems a bit much. Any suggestions?
If a system allows good airflow it's going to allow noise to escape.
Best bet is to buy components for low-noise, such as a fanless motherboard, decent zalman CPU HSF, larger (120mm) ball-bearing 'quiet' case fans with variable speeds, cushioned hard drive bays, and line the case walls with acoustic cushioning material. Plus mounting every screw fitting you can with rubber o-rings helps too.

:icon14: My brother has this one. He also picked up that fanless Antec PSU and a Scythe Ninja fanless CPU heatsink. The combination makes his computer weigh a ton and a half but totally silent.AmIdYfReAk wrote:Antec P180B...
