How to whistle with your fingers?

I don't feel like looking up Wikipedia or Google, but I just realised that I never learned how to whistle with my fingers.

I want to be cool and stick the index finger and thumb in my mouth and whistle like a steamboat all day!

So how is it performed?

The thing is that after a whole day of touching patients (and washing my hands afterwards of course), I don't feel like putting my fingers in my mouth anymore :icon32:

using both hands i can do 2 n 4 finger whistles, but my loudest one comes when i make a kinda V shape with my tounge to my top front teeth

Fold your tongue back and put your thumb and finger on top of it and blow.

I was going to practice a bit to give an accurate explanation, but being in the lab all day, I also am hesitant to put my digits on my tongue.

So here's the best description I can manage by imagining it...
1) Curl your tongue back, so the tip is pointing back to your throat. Don't press it against the roof of your mouth, though.
2)Curl your thumb and finger (whichever finger works best) so they almost make an "O", but not quite (leave a small space between the tips).
3) Put the tips of your digits in between your teeth.
4) Curl your lips over your teeth and bite down on your fingers.
5) Blow hard.
6) Try moving your tongue and fingers around to find what spot works best.

I can do it, but I wouldn't know where to start to tell you how to do it, It took me hella long time to get it. Just practice constantly.
