Pretty much a "meh" movie, some very hilarious parts. Woody Harrelson always plays dumb characters so well. Salma Hayek has a nice body with a dog face.
as for pans labyrinth.. alot of decent scores so faar.. need to get hold of that movie.
Seems to me this site http://www.panslabyrinth.com/ concentrates more on the fantasy part of the story, which is pretty minor, imo.mac wrote:havent seen any ads.. just a short trailer with some fantasy/nazi mix and the good scores in here
So you thought all of the elements that make a great film were there but because it wasn't like the commercial you saw while watching whatever miniature painting retard show you watch you didn't like it.Wabbit wrote:I didn't like Pan's Labryinth. The movie had good acting, writing, filming etc., but the way it was portrayed in the advertisements had nothing to do with the actual story.
Retard much?
Honestly though even though I peg you as being a fat slob I do think you're relatively smart. However what you just said makes me question that.

Learn to read assholio. I said good. Not great.
To me it was a bait and switch. The way it was touted, I was thinking more along the lines of This movie or some other fantasy type film.

[SPOILERS FROM HERE ON]
Not the story of some poor girl's shit life and shittier death. Nothing on this site = Pan = indicates anything other than a fantasy film. To me, the violence was graphic and if I had known it was at that level, I would not have seen the film.
I didn't like it. Period. It's not the type of film I like, no matter how good the cinematography.
Oh, and when I give a shit what you think about me, I'll let you know, douchebag.
It wasn't a bait and switch at all. You just didn't bother to read anything about it.Wabbit wrote:Jackal wrote:Honestly though even though I peg you as being a fat slob I do think you're relatively smart. However what you just said makes me question that.

And I said "all of the elements of a great film" which has nothing to do with your "good" comments. Lose a little weight on those eyelids and maybe you'll be able to read a bit better.
edit: lol, it has the same word as this other film in the title! THEY MUST BE THE SAME!!!
As paranoid as you are about fat, I'd bet my bank account you're one fat-ass nerd with a greasy comb-over and bad dandruff. Learn to live with it and not be so hostile, Hastopayforsexal.Jackal wrote:It wasn't a bait and switch at all. You just didn't bother to read anything about it.

No. I absolutely didn't see the similarity in the names and think there would be people stupid enough to believe I thought they were similar for that reason. btw, I looked at the entire site for Pan's. Read every word.
Look at the pics of the two films. The fantasy elements are both dark and medieval/gothic.
One last thing. The actor that did the movements for the faun was ass. Talk about over-acting. Could he wave his hands around any more? Apparently, in Spain, a faun can't speak unless it waves its hands around like a fag on crack. It was totally unnecessary and distracting.
On a brighter note, I learned the spanish word for echo.

Actually Doug Jones is one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood for roles such as the two he played (the faun and the pale man). He was also the only american on the film and doesn't speak a lick of Spanish.Wabbit wrote:One last thing. The actor that did the movements for the faun was ass. Talk about over-acting. He was also Abe Sapien in Hellboy. But then again you don't know what you're talking about.
Anyway, in the interest of no longer derailing the thread.
