Hey anyone tried the Crackdown demo for 360 yet?

I messed with it a bit last night. Nice graphics, but very GTA derivative. The genetically enhanced agility your character has and the urban environment looks like it could make for a bit of a parkour element which is new. Lots of pedestrians to mow down, lots and lots of gangmembers to shoot, could be fun.

I downloaded it, pretty cool. Very cell shaded look to some parts. The targeting system could be better, one enemy will die but it won't change focus to another.

i have no idea what kind of game it is btw. is it really 'just' a gta clone?
because co-op GTA would own

Why does everything that has drivables and has a large city have to be a GTA clone? Are we not past that yet?

Crackdown also has super human powers? You can play a good guy? It has fantastic MP "AND" coop? Its got its own visual style? Not to mention every copy has Halo 3's online Beta included (Although thats just a great bonus).

Come on, look at the game for what it is. A great, fun little gem of a game. Its no more a GTA clone than Call Of Duty 3 a Doom clone...

I just got notification that only the first shipment will contain the Halo3 beta. Pre-Orders only will be getting the H3 bonus

[edit] wait, i read that wrong. yes, 'only' the first pressed copies will have it. its not really 'limited' though; saying only the first "shipment" will get it sounds like there will be like only 10 copies per outlet with the beta

So I played the demo by myself for a while, seems fun the jumping and shit is great.

This would seem like a good mp gayme is it? What modes are there? Standard ffa/ctf fare? I hope they support a ton of players with the city scale and all, like 64+

I thought the demo was really stupid. It seemed so rigid and way too computer game like.
