Great action, but not much of anything else.

Children of Men - 11/10

It gets an eleven because it hit me so much that the night i watched it, i went to sleep and had a dream about a terrorist attack in London. Plane, big ben, bedlam.
It was so vivid i woke up sweating and was to scared to go back to sleep :D

WINNER!!

Idiocracy - 6.5/10

Certain parts of it are fucking funny but it's no Office Space IMO (though it's a Mike Judge film).

Children of Men - 7/10

It was a good movie but from all the rave reviews I was expecting more.

talladega nights

pretty funny movie with some clever writing, skilled but underused camera work and a good cast. maybe the most product placement/corporate sponsorship I've ever seen in a movie though.

You have to keep in mind that Nascar is flooded with product placement. If they had left it out, it would have taken a lot away from the setting.

That said, I'm sure they also made a mint off the placements. Hell, had it been me, I would have milked it for all it was worth too - the subject matter calls for it, so why not go overboard and make a load of buckies, and say you were lampooning Nascar if anybody asks.

On second thought -- I think it's brilliant. :olo:

I like Jason Statham, but this wasn't my favorite flick of his. It seemed a bit like an attempt at a tarentino style movie in its execution, but I thought the premise was good and made for a nice fast paced action flick with enough unique aspects to make it worth watching.
8/10 here.

Liked it alot. Well made i thought, fast paced, ect. :)

Dug it alot actually.
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

the insentive for product placement was so great in this one I wonder what inspired them to produce this movie in the first place, 'what came first the chicken or the egg' kinda deal, I haven't seen it yet but is sounds like it wasn't half bad so I'm not hatin

"The House of Representin'" :olo: I laughed my ass off at much of that movie. It also saddened me, because I see a good bit of that coming to be in the not so distant future.

Zark came by today (he was in town picking up a a cheque for 1 grand) and he recommended Shaun of the Dead. Brilliant! Lots of fun and well made. I'm going to check out spaced next on his advice.

Watched The Conversation the other night. Excellent flick, I highly recommend it. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, starring Gene Hackman.

Talladega Nights was pretty funny. I recommend that too.

Miami Vice - 5/10

I usually like Michael Mann's style, but in this one it feels like he tried too hard. The script was kinda crap though, so I guess he didn't have much to work with. Plus, I don't really like Colin Farrell, can't remember him as being any good in any of his movies.
