indeed we do
just make sure you always say "federal bureau of investigation" instead of FBI, and when he asks for your name again, repeat it all in full
"my name is Agent O'Donnell, I'm from the Federal Bureau of Investigations". makes it look like you do this a lot ;)

well... i've got classes all day today and i'm going to have to leave in 10 min... but i'm off tomorrow; so if no one has pranked him by then i'll figure out how to get a good audio recording off my cellphone and give him a call ;)

i'm thinking of this for a good opening:

"hello, this is special agent Jameson of the federal bureau of investigation's internet fraud taskforce; we've received some tips that there has been some illegal activity originating from a web site regestered to you. we were wondering if you would be available to answer a few questions so we can try and clear this matter up.
would you be willing to have a meeting with us this week so we can go over a few things with you?
we'd really like to do this face to face. "

his website's been obviously bot netted. It's still his (or his hosting company's) fault though for being a sloppy admin.

Radio Shack sells an inline device, but it whould have to go inline with the handset on a land line.

OR
