I think it looks awesome, jsut what I'm after. I dont want an ipod as such, but that would come in handy.

Of course none of the fancy shit matters. My d600e is thank fuck, up for a new upgrade in March. The d6ooe is a nice phone but Samsung haven't got a fucking CLUE when it comes to signals. I cant get a signal in my house unless im in the bathroom, yet my 7 year old Nokia phone works perfect anywhere.

In other words, next phone I get, I'm seriously gonna be checking it over and returning it if its shite like this one.

Apples track record with iPod batts is nearly as bad as Sonus. Dont you remember all the fuss caused over them before?

Yeah I do. And I remember how apple UK put their hands up and started replacing the batts and how apple US did nothing about it. I also remember how apple got a complaint about ONE batt that popped, and it only popped.... there was no massive bang, in a plane so they offered free upgrades for old g4s and still are. Yeah, that's a really bad track record…

Yes. So long as its quad band.

Works the same way the other way around. My razor was from the UK.
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Umm, I think it won't be that easy. Of course a european phone will work in the US, because europeans aren't asshats and sell simlocked phones. That doesn't mean it works the other way around. I'm pretty sure the iPhone will be simlocked and you'll only get an error message.

perhaps, but i dont think db has too much to worry about. im sure the first UK importers will try it and see if it works or doesnt' work.

It won't work for one very simple reason: $599 is the 2 year contract price, so you'll have to pay $30 a month for phone service in the US from Cingular.

You can pay $250 to break the contract.. I think that's the standard price in the US to back out of a mobile contract
