Anyone heard about service pack 3 for XP? I heard from someone today that it will be coming out in the spring and it will lockout and shut down everyone running illegal copies of XP.

There are no plans for a release of SP3 in the next year. In fact, MS hasn't even mentioned whether they're working on it yet.
