That's a picture I took on our scanning electron microscope of a fused quartz wafer. It was a useless sample as I need cleanly diced edges to take pictures of the etched trench sidewalls.

hummm, i first thaught skin, but when you said that it dident fracture i actually LOOKED at the picture and noticed the Deposists and etc, Especally with the Clean Fractures and the smaller parts that would pertain to a Tempered Piece of glass..

If I was to guess at what that picture was I'd say that it's a picture Nightshade took on his scanning electron microscope of a fused quartz wafer. It was a useless sample as he need cleanly diced edges to take pictures of the etched trench sidewalls.

But that's just a guess.
