You have to "buy" it to begin with.MKJ wrote:sony doesnt charge you dudeo'dium wrote: Thats why the revolution will have wireless internet for free, while sony/ms charges you for it.
Rev will have it built it out the box, and for free. It also wont chanrge you for linking two revs up, as its all WiFi now.
yea. same goes for the cubeo'dium wrote:

PSTwo however has a NIC standard. like the Rev will.
so basically, the only one ripping you off big time is the xbox

Whilst the PS2 may come in for a lot of criticism by o'dium, I've been sorely tempted to buy one recently for 3 titles, and 3 titles alone, none of which can be got on any other platform:
Ico, Katamari Damacy & Rez (well, Rez can be got on the Dreamcast, but yer know wot I mean).
All 3 are unique titles with inspiring gameplay, and when it comes down to it, it doesn't matter what console you get as long as the gameplay rocks.
You know what my first 3 DS games were?
Polarium, Warioware & Zookeeper, only one of which could be considered popular, but the other 2 are stupidly addictive; especially Zookeeper in 2-player mode.
And do these titles have spectacular graphics?
No.
Astounding audio?
No.
Rock-solid, crack-like "Just one more go" gameplay?
Yes, and they have it in spades.
I did pick up Mario yesterday, just to see how it translated to the DS, but it's the game I see getting the least play time.
Browse around, find a source of reliable information and decide on the console you think will give you the most bang for your buck.
Don't be swayed by how many "Triple A" titles a platform's got, such as Halo, Metal Gear, GT4, GTA:SA or Zelda.
These titles, whilst all good, are not what gaming is really about.
They're made-for-the-masses, instant hit, cash-cows ('part from Zelda
).
The gems such as Viewtiful Joe, PN03, Zookeeper, Ico, etc. are the types of games you should really be keeping an eye out for.

Onwards to Halo!

get a hori controller dude! fucking awesome to play soul calibur with, i own everyone with that piece of purple goldChupacabra wrote:O'dium....what do you think about PSP/DS?
Also, as for what console is the best I think it really depends on what you're looking for.
For example, if youre looking for a wide variety of games, like RPGs and Japanesey games and are a big importer...get PS2. If you want lots of power and games like Ninja Gaiden, get Xbox. If you like 1st party Nintendo games get the Gamecube.
I'm really into fighters so I generally don't play my Gamecube which is kinda crappy. The controller is so shit for those types of games that companies dont even want to release them on GC!

Nah, just gotta persevere and you figure out their patterns soon enough. I use Slow mode quite a lot as you can dodge most attacks that way. You can also spend those V-points (whatever they're called) to buy more hp and lives. It also helps if you play on Normal instead of Hard.LeonardoP wrote:lol i got viewtiful joe for about 2 years now and i still haven't finished it. i try to get past all the bosses in 1 turn but i get frustrated after a few tries and i quit... how did you do it? you bought a take 2 or something?
