Sweden regular tv = 5 channels.
With cabel tv = 35 channels.
With sattelite = 250? channels.

I got cable tv.

In America every big town has at least six of their own.

my point is, yes... they need to be in a geosynched orbit so people can position their dishes to receive. And no, you won't get the same sattelite signals here that you will on the other side of the planet. So in other words, you are wrong.
