wireless router troubles.

Post by zeeko »

Okay. So my roommate and I picked up a linksys wireless G router in hopes we could just plug it in, put a password on it and done. But so far it is just been a quite hellish experience. I don't really understand what is wrong, but it will work fine for like 5 minutes, I have a mac and it usually connects fine, but i feel like when my roommate who has a pc connects to it, something happens after a few minutes and it stops working... It will still say there is a signal but there really isn't any signal and the internet doesn't work. And then i have to reset the router and it works fine for like 5 minutes again. But also my roommate usually has a lot of troubles connecting to it? AARRGGG I'm so frustrated. Any ideas?

perhaps upgrade your firmware first. be aware NOT to do this wirelessly, you can brick it.
